Defensive Solutions offers two things few others can:

Knowledge and experience.

Most firearm instructors offer NRA courses and/or their own blend of training classes. That doesn't mean they can teach you WHAT you should do and WHY you should (or shouldn't) use lethal force. Get your gear wherever you want. When you’re ready to learn HOW to use it, Defensive Solutions is your best choice! We are the MOST experienced teachers in all of Michiana!

At Defensive Solutions LLC we teach all of our clients as if we were teaching our own family what they must know should they ever have to confront violence.

WE WANT YOU TO GO HOME TO YOUR FAMILY SAFELY

Pat Hood

Pat assists Norm with instructing classes. Early on Pat decided she better learn to shoot or she wouldn’t see much of Norm, so began the journey.

She started with learning to shoot a 22 rifle and pistol, then progressed to 12 gauge shotguns to be used in the sport of Trap. Next came the Cowboy Action Shooting Society (SASS) six guns, shotguns, & rifles experience, and then Defensive shooting to protect those she loves using her current weapon of choice, a 9mm handgun.

She continually trains and practices to maintain proficiency as well as maintaining her credentials as a NRA instructor, Range Safety Officer, and SAFTD Handgun Instructor as well as a Certified Pepper Spray Instructor.

Pat is compelled to assist with training that promotes safe gun handling skills for all who wish to protect themselves and their families.

She is currently a member of her Church Safety Team.
